A Look Back at Our Participation

Since 2011, we have trained professionals driving the low-carbon transition. IFC has become IFC.D – Institut de Formation Carbone & Durabilité (Institute for Carbon & Sustainability Training), expanding its expertise while maintaining the same ambition. We build on experienced trainers, a client-focused team, practical courses and strong technical expertise.

Our Workshop at PRODURABLE 2026

On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, from 1:00 to 1:45 pm, our workshop “Your Low-Carbon Strategy, in France and Internationally: How Far Can AI Help You?” explored practical uses of AI to measure, define and manage low-carbon strategies.

It covered AI’s current capabilities and limitations, possible errors (including a live demonstration), pitfalls to avoid and recommendations organisations could apply to their climate strategies.

PRODURABLE 2026 also gave us the opportunity to officially announce the launch of our Bilan Carbone® Discovery and Essential training programmes in English for an international audience. They make the methodology more accessible to English-speaking professionals and mark another step in our expansion beyond France.

We also discussed climate challenges, skills needs and suitable training options with professionals, including open-enrolment, in-company and customised programmes.

In France, IFC.D offers a progressive training pathway officially authorised by the Association pour la transition Bas Carbone (ABC):

• Initiation: Carry out your first complete Bilan Carbone® assessment.
• Maîtrise: Manage advanced and multi-site assessments, uncertainty and transition planning.
• Professionnel: Become a Bilan Carbone® service provider and support clients.

• Managing Climate Transition Pathways: Develop a transition plan and move to action.
• Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Conduct an LCA with openLCA and inform ecodesign.
• Climate Change Adaptation: Anticipate physical climate risks.
