The Bilan Carbone® methodology is a comprehensive greenhouse gas accounting and reduction approach developed to help organisations measure, understand, and reduce their climate impact.
Originally created by ADEME in 2004 and further developed by the Association pour la transition Bas Carbone since 2011, it provides a structured framework for assessing direct and indirect emissions and building credible low-carbon transition plans.
The methodology supports organisations in measuring emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, engaging stakeholders, identifying key emission sources, defining reduction actions, and integrating climate issues into strategic decision-making.
